About the Role
The role is based primarily in schools with opportunities for clinic and remote work. You will assess students, develop intervention plans, coordinate support with parents, carers and teaching teams, and monitor progress toward Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive assessments of developmental or learning needs for EHCPs.
* Develop and implement individualized intervention plans.
* Collaborate with teachers, parents and multidisciplinary professionals to integrate goals into the child’s daily environment.
* Evaluate intervention effectiveness and adjust approaches as needed.
* Provide training and up‑skilling to key adults, enhancing their ability to support the child’s therapy goals.
* Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to multidisciplinary meetings.
Essential Criteria
* HCPC and RCOT registration.
* Recognised Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in occupational therapy.
Desirable Criteria
* Paediatric occupational therapy experience.
* Experience working within specialist paediatric and school settings.
* Experience completing assessments for Education, Health and Care Plans.
* Specialist CPD or training in paediatric occupational therapy.
* Trauma‑informed care experience.
* Experience working with paediatric social, emotional and mental health needs.
