The role
They are currently seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer to join their expanding team. This role offers a great opportunity for someone eager to build technical expertise, assume real responsibilities, and grow within a supportive environment. You will work on challenging, fast-paced projects, collaborating closely with senior engineers and other disciplines.
You will be encouraged to take ownership of your work, contribute ideas, and develop your career without micro-management.
Key responsibilities
* Assist in designing and delivering mechanical services for various projects.
* Undertake calculations, layouts, and detailed designs under senior engineers' guidance.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, high-quality solutions.
* Participate in client and design meetings as required.
* Take responsibility for assigned tasks and deadlines.
* Support junior staff and foster a positive team culture.
What they are looking for
* Ideally, a Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (not essential).
* 2-4 years' experience within a UK building services consultancy.
* Previous exposure to MEP design projects.
* Familiarity with mechanical design software (e.g., Hevacomp).
* Any exposure to IES or Revit is advantageous.
* Strong communication skills and a team-first mentality.
* Willingness to learn, adapt, and take ownership of development.
* A proactive, problem-solving approach and collaborative attitude.
