Aneurin Bevan University Health Board supports flexible working and provides a wide geographical service to a diverse community. The health board supports approximately 5500 births per year and has acute services based at Grange University Hospital, a new state-of-the-art facility offering single rooms for antenatal, birth and postnatal care. The hospital also includes a tranquil, alongside birth centre with approximately 70-80 births per month, offering choices for obstetric-led and midwifery-led care.
There is access to training to support your professional development and enhance your theatre skills.
Responsibilities
* Be a nurse, keen to work in a busy, fast-paced environment, joining our experienced scrub team.
* Work in the emergency maternity theatres and the maternity High Dependency Unit.
* Join the maternity department and work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
* Maintain high standards of care for patients and their families and support the multi-professional team.
* Demonstrate the ability to communicate openly and respectfully with women/birth people, their families, colleagues at all levels, and multi-agency groups.
* Ensure provision of effective, efficient and high-quality perioperative patient care.
* Support the Band 6 in leading the anaesthetic practitioner service.
* Promote evidence-based best practice and act as an accountable role model and clinical expert.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
