Role Overview
We’re seeking a Corporation Tax Compliance Manager to operate in Leeds or Bradford. The successful candidate will manage tax compliance and reporting activities for Liberty Blume clients, ensuring high‑quality UK corporate tax returns, strong client relationships, and continuous process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality UK corporate tax compliance service by preparing and reviewing UK Corporate Tax computations and tax accounting provision calculations for simple, medium, and complex trading and non‑trading entities.
- Understand clients’ businesses, feed into compliance timetables, identify specific issues, map processes, and analyze data for inclusion in computations.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for all client service delivery matters and proactively resolving any issues.
- Provide training, guidance, and effective management to junior tax team members, delegating tasks, offering ongoing support, and giving regular feedback.
- Collaborate seamlessly with Liberty Blume finance teams and wider Liberty Global tax teams to secure necessary financial information and ensure accurate reflection of tax technical matters in returns.
- Lead the preparation and review of international quarterly and year‑end tax provision calculations in accordance with IFRS (and USGAAP), overseeing junior staff.
Qualifications
- ACA, ACCA, or CTA qualification.
- Minimum 3–4 years of experience in a Corporate Tax compliance and/or reporting role.
- Exposure to UK tax issues such as CIR, CFC, hybrids, R&D, capital allowances, share‑based payment relief, group simplified arrangements, consortium relief, etc.
- Knowledge of Thompson Reuters ONESOURCE and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in direct client contact, presentation, and delivery.
- Continuous process improvement mindset.
- Experience working in a matrix environment where inter‑departmental relationships are essential.
