Encompassed by an intrinsic vision to improve workforces and empower learners, they aim to reduce L&D overheads by maintaining & managing LMS technical infrastructures, continuously developing innovative functionality, and regular performance monitoring to ensure learners remain engaged, and businesses enjoy a return on their investment.CANDIDATE & ROLE BRIEFReporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, performing a pivotal role in the end-to-end delivery, support and operational performance of the business.The Operations department encompasses implementation, service delivery and customer support, each with an established team with the opportunity to forge closer collaboration and improve working practices. Working closely with the SLT, you will continuously improve operational strategy with the goal of increasing quality, efficiency, productivity and scalability, ensuring operational effectiveness across all areas.ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIESStrategy & Operations:Define and continuously improve operational strategy with a focus on efficiency quality, productively and scalability.Own operational planning, capacity management, budgeting and drive delivery consistency through quality serviceEvaluate internal processes and customer journeys, identifying improvement to increase customer satisfaction and retention.Review existing challenges and forecast projected challenges, developing strategies to mitigate business impact and continuously monitor performance.People & Department Leadership:Lead and develop individual team leaders and managersEmbed a culture of quality, accountability and continuous improvementLeverage AI tools across service delivery, reporting and productivityAct as a point of escalation where necessary, setting clear metrics to ensure retention, renewal and growth, while driving significant revenue generating activity.Information Security:Executive oversight of operational information and security controls.SKILLS & EXPERIENCE6+ years previous experience in an Operations Director role or similar, with demonstrable evidence of operational delivery.Senior operations leadership experience (3+ years) within EdTech, Learning & Development, SaaS, Technology Managed Service, or similar service centric industry is essential.A strong demonstrable background in delivery, implementation or support-led environments.Experience using data and AI-enabled tools to improve operations.Strategic, logical and commercially minded.Experience managing and coaching technical and non-technical teams, with the ability to communicate & influence stakeholders.A natural, inspiring, and approachable leader, with the ability to command respect whilst maintaining relatability.Experience in UK public sector procurement (desirable).Experience using relevant industry frameworks (desirable).Unrestricted Right to Work in the UK.If you would like to discuss the opportunity further, please contact Janet McGlaughlin on the number listed on our website.
