Job Description
Our client is looking for an experienced funds paralegal to join their high-performing legal team, supporting their growing credit funds practice. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, gaining exposure to sophisticated fund structures and investment transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting with the formation, structuring, and management of credit funds, including reviewing fund documentation and investor materials.
* Supporting the legal team in regulatory and compliance matters related to fund operations.
* Conducting legal research on fund structures, securities regulations, and other relevant laws.
* Preparing and maintaining corporate governance documentation, including board resolutions and investor communications.
* Assisting with fund closings, including managing subscription agreements and investor due diligence.
* Coordinating with external counsel and service providers on fund-related matters.
* Managing and maintaining legal documentation databases and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
Requirements:
* A strong academic background, with a minimum of a 2:1 LLB (or equivalent) from a top-tier university. Further legal qualifications (LPC, SQE, or LLM) are highly desirable.
* Prior experience working within a law firm or in-house legal team, with a focus on funds, asset management, or financial services.
* A solid understanding of fund structures, investment management, and relevant regulations (e.g., AIFMD, FCA rules, or SEC regulations).
* Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams effectively.
* Strong legal drafting and research skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
