An exciting opportunity for a Locum Consultant Ophthalmologist with expertise in paediatrics (optional adult and paediatric strabismus) at the University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust. The role is based at the Royal Eye Infirmary, providing a comprehensive range of routine, urgent and specialist ophthalmic services and supporting the development of the paediatric sub-specialty services.
The post is a maternity cover post that may be extended for the right candidate.
Main Duties
Triaging and outpatient clinics.
Surgical operating.
ROP screening and treatment.
Person Specification Registration
Fully registered with the GMC and on the GMC Specialist Register for surgical Ophthalmology.
Within 6 months of expected CCT date at the time of interview.
Qualifications
FRCOphth, MRCOphth or equivalent.
Experience
Paediatric subspecialty training.
ROP screening/treatment experience.
Disposition
Commitment to CPD.
Excellent English communication skills, written and verbal.
