Job Title: Commercial Property Solicitor Location: Birmingham Salary: DOE Job Type: Full-time, Permanent About the Role: Our client, a well-established and growing law firm in Birmingham, is seeking a proactive and client-focused Commercial Property Solicitor to join their expanding Property team. The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload of high-quality commercial property matters, working closely with developers, landlords, tenants, investors, and corporate clients across the West Midlands and beyond. Key Responsibilities: Manage a full caseload of commercial property transactions, including: Sales and purchases of freehold and leasehold properties Landlord and tenant matters (granting, renewing, assigning, and terminating leases) Commercial refinancing and secured lending Development agreements and options Licences to assign, alter, or underlet Draft and negotiate complex contracts, leases, and supporting documentation Carry out due diligence including title investigation, searches, and Land Registry applications Provide practical and commercially sound legal advice to clients Build and maintain strong client relationships and develop new business where possible Liaise with agents, lenders, counsel, and other professionals Support senior fee earners or supervise junior staff, depending on experience. Candidate Requirements: Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (minimum 2 years PQE preferred) Strong technical knowledge of commercial property law Excellent drafting and negotiation skills Commercial awareness and strong client care ethos Ability to manage files with minimal supervision Comfortable working in a collaborative and busy team environment Experience with case management systems and digital workflows is an advantage.
