Internal Vacancy: Senior Support Worker (Full-Time)
Location: Nottingham
Salary: £26,102.58 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (5 days per week)

We’re excited to announce an opportunity for an experienced and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our dedicated team in Nottingham. If you have a passion for providing person-centred care and enjoy mentoring and leading a team, this could be the perfect next step for you!

As a Senior Support Worker, you’ll be at the heart of our service, providing high-quality care to individuals while overseeing and supporting junior staff. Your role will be vital in ensuring our service users receive the best possible care in a safe, respectful, and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Person-Centred Care: Deliver direct, tailored support to individuals, promoting their independence and respecting their personal needs and preferences.

2. Leadership & Mentoring: Supervise and mentor junior support workers, ensuring high standards of care and best practice.

3. Care Planning: Assist in developing, reviewing, and updating individual care plans.

4. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including daily logs and care assessments.

5. Medication Management: Administer and monitor medications, following all safety protocols.

6. Communication: Work closely with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to ensure a coordinated approach to care.

7. Team Collaboration: Partner with the Care Manager and team to continuously improve care delivery.

8. Health & Safety: Ensure a safe and secure environment for both service users and staff.

What We’re Looking For:

9. Qualifications: NVQ Level 1 or 2 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent). Additional leadership or social care qualifications are desirable.

10. Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in a support worker role, ideally with leadership or supervisory experience.

11. Skills: Strong leadership, excellent communication, empathy, and the ability to manage challenging situations calmly and professionally.

12. Other: A commitment to promoting dignity, respect, and independence for the people we support.
