We are seeking an inspiring and committed Lecturer in Children’s Nursing to join our friendly and forward-thinking team within the School of Nursing, Midwifery, Allied and Public Health. You will contribute to the teaching, assessment, and support of students across our pre-registration nursing programmes, helping them develop the skills, confidence, and compassion required to deliver safe and effective care to children, young people, and their families. Working alongside experienced educators and our NHS partners, you will play an important role in shaping the next generation of children’s nurses — equipping them to meet the challenges of contemporary healthcare practice and make a real difference in young lives. We would be particularly interested in hearing from people with experience in community services or end of life care.
You will be a registered children’s nurse (NMC) with recent clinical experience and a strong understanding of current policy, best practice, and professional standards in children’s nursing. You will bring enthusiasm for education and a genuine commitment to supporting students to reach their potential. Experience of teaching or facilitating learning, either in clinical or academic settings, is desirable, as is an interest in developing your academic and scholarly profile.
Responsibilities

Qualifications
Essential requirements include:
* NMC registration as a Children’s Nurse
* Undergraduate Honours Degree in a Nursing related subject
* Evidence of ongoing professional development
Desirable attributes:
* Master’s degree or higher (willingness to work towards)
* Postgraduate teaching qualification or Fellowship of Advance HE
* Experience in curriculum delivery, assessment, or practice education
* Interest in research, quality improvement, or innovation in children’s health
How will you work?
We are committed to supporting flexible methods of working wherever possible and this role is Flexible and connected. Campus attendance will vary on a day-to-day basis and across the year but must purposefully align to the service being delivered and to the needs of our students, staff, and stakeholders. It is expected that the majority of your working time will be spent on campus.
You will be required to work across both Canterbury and Medway campuses as required to support delivery of teaching. Kindly note applications for both Full time and Part Time hours will be considered.
