As a P2P Accounts Payable Team Leader in our AASC team, you’ll lead the delivery of purchase to pay activity, ensuring invoices, payments and processes are handled accurately, compliantly and on time. Your work will help maintain strong financial control while supporting operational delivery across the business. In this role, you’ll play a key part in shaping how financial operations run day-to-day. By leading a team of specialists and driving consistent, right-first-time processes, you’ll contribute to trusted services that support communities and deliver positive outcomes. Your leadership will help create efficient, reliable systems that underpin essential public services and make a meaningful impact. What you’ll do as a P2P Accounts Payable Team Leader You’ll be entrusted to: Lead the day-to-day operational delivery of purchase to pay and accounts payable activities Ensure invoices, purchase orders and payments are processed accurately and within agreed timelines Monitor KPIs and service levels, addressing performance issues and driving continuous improvement Oversee invoice reporting, managing aged and unresolved items to reduce risk Maintain strong financial controls, ensuring compliance with policies and audit standards Lead, coach and develop a team of P2P specialists to deliver high performance and engagement Does this sound like you? You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have… Strong knowledge of purchase to pay and accounts payable processes in a complex organisation Proven experience leading and developing a team to achieve targets and service standards Confidence working with financial systems such as SAP and analysing data to drive decisions Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify risks and resolve issues proactively Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build trust Vetting and checks: This role requires BPSS clearance, which involves identity verification, employment history, and criminal record checks to meet government security standards.
