Overview
We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. You will be working in a fast paced retail environment where no day is the same, providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments and helping maintain the store’s appearance. You will help improve service through on the job coaching and feedback, and your guidance will help keep the store a safe place to work and shop.
Responsibilities
* Know and serve customers with passion and pride, delivering great natural service.
* Encourage customers to provide feedback by completing the "have your say" survey.
* Work across all store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending and stock routines to complete tasks to meet customer needs.
* Apply training to ensure safe working practices.
* Participate in seasonal, community and charity events to create a great inclusive atmosphere.
* Be knowledgeable about store performance and collaborate to deliver profit.
* Follow company values, make customers feel welcome, and adhere to policies.
* Clock in and out at the start and end of shifts to ensure accurate pay.
* Follow security procedures and wear safety equipment where available to keep colleagues and customers safe.
* Follow the Think 25 policy when serving age restricted products.
* Respond quickly to assistance calls or interventions on self-service checkouts and explain actions to customers.
* Maintain a clean, tidy and organised store environment with clear aisles.
* Occasionally run the shift in the absence of the Shift Leader or Store Manager.
* Complete all training to keep yourself, others and the store safe and compliant.
Special condition
* If the store has a Post Office Local, duties will include day-to-day Post Office operations and require passing a Post Office financial and criminal conviction background check; if checks fail, the job offer may be withdrawn.
