Job Description
Kanadevia Inova is seeking a Operation & Maintenance and Services HSE Director for the UK, who will partner with the Group HSE Director, Business Units, and Country Operations to provide strategic HSE support, establish integrated management systems, and guide organisational growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Partner with the Group HSE Director, Business Unit VPs, and Country Managing Directors to align HSE strategy with business objectives, identify risks and opportunities, and support sustainable growth.
* Lead and govern HSE across the Business Unit, including oversight of the HSE Management System, accident investigations, project mobilization, and ensuring adequate resources and budget control.
* Drive a best-in-class HSE culture by working with cross-functional teams to implement initiatives that strengthen behavioral safety, raise awareness, and secure engagement from leadership and employees.
* Monitor, analyze, and report HSE performance, supporting the Group HSE Director in implementing KVIs, tracking compliance, and setting and achieving annual Group targets.
* Provide hands-on operational support across projects and country operations, including regular travel as required to ensure effective implementation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

* Proven HSE leader with strong Operations & Maintenance (O&M) credentials, capable of leading large, complex, and fast-growing organisations.
* Strategic and operational authority for a global, decentralised Business Unit of 1,400+ employees, ensuring safe, sustainable, and compliant operations.
* Expert in building and continuously improving a unified HSE strategy, management system, and integrated safety culture across offices, workshops, sites, projects, and long-term O&M facilities.
* Senior external and internal representative for all HSE matters, engaging with clients, regulators, and industry bodies while contributing to BU leadership and business growth.
* Experienced people leader, able to build, develop, and lead high-performing teams of up to 20 direct reports.
Competence in Working Methods
* Strategic, analytical, and commercially aware, able to align HSE priorities with business performance.
* Coaching leader and skilled auditor, capable of developing teams and driving consistent, high-quality HSE standards.
* International and cross-cultural mindset, experienced in building decentralised teams and supporting organisational growth.
* Change-driven and data-led, using digitalisation, dashboards, and leading indicators to move from compliance to predictive, proactive safety.
* High integrity, resilience, and accountability, able to manage legal responsibilities effectively in complex environments, with fluency in English (additional languages an advantage).
