Cleanroom Technicians We are looking for Cleanroom Technicians to work in the exciting area of cell and gene therapies. This is an entry level position and training will be provided. Job Summary Reporting to a Production Scientist I/II, the Cleanroom Technician will work within the GMP Production team, cleaning, restocking, and supporting the production of cellular therapy products for clinical use. Responsibilities will include: Cleaning of cleanrooms and equipment. Disinfection of items going into the cleanrooms. Undertaking daily GMP production housekeeping activities including, but not limited to; management of cleanroom garments, use of KANBAN system, restocking, and use of logbooks. Environmental monitoring of the cleanrooms using agar plates, swabs, particle counters and active air samplers. To be fully trained in the fundamentals of GMP production within a sterile environment, including aseptic technique, cleanroom gowning and transfer of items. Applicants must be comfortable with wearing full gowns, goggles, gloves and boots to clean cleanrooms. Provide the GMP Scientists with support for the manufacture of clinical products by becoming a Runner for manufacture. This may involve booking in samples, transporting cellular therapy products to freezers, use of a controlled rate freezer, use of liquid nitrogen dewars, and responding to alarms or issues for a manufacture. Writing up any non-conformances, risk assessments, and any other quality documents required for the role. Working within the framework of Advent Bioservices regulatory licensing bodies and Advents’ Quality Management System. You will have the following experience/qualifications: Minimum of a GCSE in Science, Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above (Essential). A-level in Biology or equivalent experience (preferred). Ability to prioritise workload. Good time management skills Excellent oral communication skills, and excellent written skills. Competent in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel. Proactive, flexible, and meticulous approach to work. Must have a get-up-and-go attitude. An understanding of the cell and gene therapy industry (preferred).
