Role
1. Understanding project briefs and designing/specifying all Mechanical Building Services systems.
2. Preparing and reviewing documentation such as designs, specifications, assessment reports, and survey reports.
3. Managing the production of detailed calculations using industry-standard software including Excel, CAD, IES, and in-house tools.
4. Conducting site surveys, inspections, and monitoring site works.
5. Implementing detailed surveys of mechanical services and equipment to assess existing installations and gather information for new or upgraded design proposals.
6. Assisting in the development of junior engineers.
7. Writing reports and technical notes.
Qualifications / Experience
1. Degree or equivalent qualification in Building Services Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
2. Chartered or working towards chartership with CIBSE or IET.
3. 5-10 years of experience in a design consultancy or similar environment.
4. Knowledge of mechanical design within the built environment.
5. Strong report writing skills and experience presenting to clients and attending meetings.
6. Detailed knowledge of technical standards and ability to manage project deliverables independently.
7. Proficiency with digital tools such as IES, Microsoft Office, and CAD.
