NHS Lanarkshire is offering exciting Modern Apprenticeships in Maintenance at University Hospital Monklands.
Annex 21: As a trainee, your pay is based on a percentage of qualified staff's pay, in line with Annex 21 of the Agenda for Change. You will earn 60% of the top of Band 3 salary in year 1. Your salary will be reviewed annually to ensure fair progression throughout your apprenticeship.
If successful, you will be appointed on a salary aligned with the Scottish National Living Wage. Upon completing the apprenticeship, you will move to the appropriate salary scale reflecting your new qualifications and responsibilities.

Key Details:
* Location: University Hospital Monklands
* Duration: Fixed-term for 4 years starting 18 August 2025, 37 hours/week
* Eligibility: Aged 16-24 on 1 August 2025; up to 29 with a disability or care experience
* Must have National 5 (or equivalent) in English, Maths, Physics, and a Technological subject at grades A-C
* Preferably hold or be working towards a full UK/EU/EEA driver’s license

Duties as a Maintenance Assistant include:
* Adhering to NHSL’s health, safety, and technical policies
* Diagnosing and repairing minor faults in engineering/electrical equipment
* Completing records and documentation
* Carrying out planned preventative maintenance
No prior experience necessary: Suitable for school leavers and those with limited work experience.
