CAD Technician
Swindon
Salary between £30,000 – £35,000
Our client based in Swindon are looking for a CAD Technician to join their rapidly growing company!
CAD Technician Roles and Responsibilities:
* Interpret architect’s drawings
* Design tapered insulation systems to drain and insulate flat roofs
* Calculate U-values, condensation risk analysis and acoustic performance through to material take-offs
* Work closely with clients, the design team and project architects
* Manage compliance checks against the specifications and client requirements
* Attend design development meetings
* Undertake site visits to check progress
* On the job training will be provided for specialist design software used
CAD Technician Ideal Candidate:
* AutoCAD proficient
* Competent in MS Office
* Experience within the construction / structural / civil engineering sectors
* An understanding of basic U-values
* The ability to read construction drawings
* Excellent communication skills
* Able to inspire confidence and develop long term relationships
* Has a ‘Can do’ attitude
* Good work ethic and aptitude for continuous learning and improvement
* Able to work under own initiative and meet deadlines
* Punctual, smart and hardworking
CAD Technician Working Hours:
* Monday – Friday
* 09:00 – 17:00
* 30 minutes lunch
