Job Description
Electronic Engineering Graduate required for an established and fast-growing business in Northampton. If you are graduating this year in Electrical and Electronic or Pure Electronics Engineering with a 1st or 2:1, I am keen to receive your application. Along with this position, we are also open to considering graduates with at least 6 months of experience if you are graduating in 2026. Basic salary £30k + annual bonus c£5k++ (after 12 months service), Healthcare, 28 days annual leave including bank holidays.
Job Purpose: To gain experience and learn skills to independently design and develop Test Equipment solutions to the highest quality. This involves learning both hardware and software skills:
* Design and develop electronic test applications for functional test equipment.
* Electronic and Pneumatic system design.
* Executing hardware design tasks in accordance with the hardware development plan, whilst meeting agreed timescales.
* Develop hardware product test specifications and procedures in line with customer requirements.
General Description: Learn to:
* Design and develop electronic test applications for functional test equipment.
* Prepare and develop product test specifications and procedures in line with customer requirements.
* Document the project scope for each assignment.
* Ensure procurement, design, development, and implementation are within project scope and budget.
* Design and develop new parts for our FLEX range of test systems.
* Solve problems in test applications, including Mechanical, Electrical, or Pneumatic issues.
* Assembly of Mechanical and Electrical assemblies, including soldering and crimping.
* Liaise with Suppliers to find cost-effective manufacturing methods.
* Produce and control engineering drawings.
* Support the preparation of project proposals and external bids.
* Site visits as required, which are occasional.
Training Provided: Electrical/Electronic hardware design, Pneumatic System Design, Schematic Capture. Additional training in LabVIEW and TestStand Programming, Software Installation as required.
Qualifications Required:
* Formal engineering qualification in electronic or electrical engineering, ideally degree qualified in Electronic Engineering or a related subject. HNC/D in Electronic Engineering may be considered in lieu of experience.
* A Level (or equivalent) in at least 2 of the following: Maths, Physics, Design Technology, IT, Electronics.
* 5 GCSEs at Grade B or above.

* Eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance.
* Full UK or EU Driver's License and own transport required.
