Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Trainee Chef to join our culinary team. Duties
* Supervise and manage the kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality food production.
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
* Maintain food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations.
* Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items that reflect current culinary trends.
* Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food preparation, and presentation.
* Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and order as necessary to maintain stock.
* Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients.
* Assist in serving meals during peak service times to ensure timely delivery to guests.
Experience
* Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry.
* Strong leadership skills with experience in team management and supervision.
* Extensive knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
* Demonstrated ability in food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation skills.
* Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, along with familiarity with various cuisines.
* Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and management.
