If you’re an experienced, compassionate nurse (RGN/RMN) looking to improve the lives of people with long-term care needs, we can offer you a rewarding career at Langford Park. We’re seeking a qualified registered nurse to lead and support our care team at the care home. You’ll receive comprehensive training to help you adjust to nursing in a care home setting and ongoing development to help you progress your career.
Responsibilities
* Provide high quality nursing care to residents as part of a care team.
* Lead and support the care team, ensuring clinical assessments are planned, implemented, and evaluated with input from residents.
* Maintain clinical records and communicate decisions and care pathways to residents, carers, and the multi-professional team.
* Liaise with GPs, case managers, primary health care practitioners, statutory and voluntary agencies to support residents.
* Utilise IT systems to secure accurate and timely resident, workforce and resource data.
* Integrate current knowledge of dementia and caring into practice, informed by evidence and research.
Who We're Looking For
* Valid RGN NMC Registration.
* Previous experience within a similar setting is desirable but not essential.
* A minimum of 1 year's experience as a Registered Nurse.
* A clear understanding of CQC standards/legislation.
* Strong leadership, clinically skilled, well-organised, able to take the lead.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience with PCS and electronic care planning.
* Able to inspire, motivate and lead by example.
* Flexible approach to the rota to meet the needs of the home.

By providing the highest quality of nursing care, you’ll help improve and sustain our residents’ quality of life. Leading and supporting a care team, you’ll:
* Provide high quality nursing care to our residents.
* Be responsible for clinical assessment of residents, ensuring care is planned, implemented, and evaluated with resident involvement.
* Promote the rights, interests, needs and choices of carers and people with dementia in planning, delivery and evaluation of care and services.
* Liaise with GPs, case managers, primary health care practitioners, statutory and voluntary agencies to support residents.
* Communicate clinical decisions, policy and care pathways to residents/carers and the multi-professional team, including situations with comprehension challenges.
* Maintain clinical records and provide verbal and written feedback to carers and appropriate agencies.
* Utilise information and IT systems to ensure accurate and timely resident, workforce and resource data.
* Apply current knowledge of dementia and caring, informed by research and evidence, into practice.
