Job Description

AG is currently seeking to hire a Senior Design Engineer who will lead the technical feasibility and design of pre-construction programs within the agriculture and specialist food strategies in the emerging market portfolio of family-owned greenfield development programs.
The position is based out of our London Headquarters in Green Park, Mayfair, and will report into the Head of Program Delivery for the agri-food project portfolio. You will be required to travel extensively within frontier jurisdictions as part of this role.
Responsibilities
Design Engineering
* Desktop mapping and analysis of site topography using GIS applications to advise on land suitability for the construction of operating systems.
* Responsible for creating detailed design layouts incorporating technical inputs from specialist internal subject matter experts and third-party consulting companies.
* Subject matter expert for engineering inputs in relation to civil, structural, and environmental project design considerations.
* Support the identification of in-country delivery partners ahead of ready-to-build status.
* Ownership of all engineering and design reporting and documentation to ensure bankability within agreed program budgets.
* Management of project-specific Environmental Impact Assessment studies and corresponding ancillary documentation and reporting.
Project Management
* Support the implementation of programme delivery schedules, metrics, and reporting principles.
* Coordination of internal and external resources to ensure technical project development programmes are clearly outlined and followed in a timely manner.
* Supporting cross-collaboration with non-technical teams to align on project parameters through feasibility and into construction.
* Ownership of project engineering updates and internal project management systems maintenance.
* Maintaining regular reporting and communication with stakeholders.
Requirements
• Degree educated within Civil and/or Environmental Engineering.
• Experience using ArcGIS or other mapping software.
• Familiarity with design engineering for large-scale greenfield projects.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in the use of engineering mapping and design software packages.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
