Material Planning Analyst
On-Site - Leicester | Manufacturing & Supply Chain

We’re looking for a Material Planning Analyst who thrives on solving complex challenges, optimising processes, and ensuring materials are exactly where they need to be, when they need to be there. This is a high-impact role where you’ll collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to drive efficiency across the entire production lifecycle.
What You’ll Be Doing
1. Manage supplier relationships (up to 50 suppliers) to ensure delivery commitments align with production schedules
2. Oversee planning and availability for approximately 1,000-part numbers, maintaining seamless material flow
3. Drive continuous improvement by performing root cause analysis on supply and quality issues and implementing corrective actions
4. Ensure inventory accuracy and planning system integrity, aligning stock levels with production demand
5. Translate production requirements into actionable plans, raising requisitions, scheduling materials, and managing work orders
6. Support engineering and process changes, ensuring minimal disruption to production and supply continuity
7. Monitor and improve supplier performance metrics, owning accountability for delivery, quality, and reliability
8. Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance forecasting accuracy, demand planning, and material availability at point of use
What You’ll Bring
9. Proven experience in materials planning, inventory control, or supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment
10. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset
11. Understanding of production scheduling and capacity planning
12. experience using MRP or similar ERP systems (, Lognet, MTS)
13. Knowledge of Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies
14. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
15. Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or equivalent experience
