Description
Experienced Fostering and Kinship Social Worker. We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team dedicated to improving the lives of children and families in need. The role involves providing support, guidance, and expertise to foster and kinship caregivers, assessing needs, developing tailored care plans, and ensuring children are placed in safe and nurturing environments. The position requires collaboration with local authorities, health professionals, and educational institutions to advocate for the best interests of children under care. A deep understanding of fostering regulations, child development principles, and the ability to navigate complex emotional and social situations is essential.
Responsibilities
* Assess the needs of children and families involved in fostering and kinship arrangements.
* Develop and implement tailored care plans in collaboration with caregivers and relevant stakeholders.
* Conduct thorough assessments and home studies for potential foster and kinship placements.
* Provide ongoing support, training, and supervision to foster and kinship caregivers.
* Facilitate training sessions and workshops for foster and kinship families.
* Monitor and evaluate the progress of children in placements, ensuring their safety and well-being.
* Liaise with schools, health services, and other community resources to support the needs of children and families.
Requirements
* A degree in Social Work or a related field, and a valid social work license.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in fostering and kinship social work or child welfare.
* Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices in child welfare.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse populations.
* Proven ability to manage complex caseloads and work independently.
* Experience in developing and facilitating training for foster and kinship families.
* Strong assessment and analytical skills, with attention to detail in documentation.

End Time: 17:30
Pay Per Hour: £22.62
Location: Worcester, Worcestershire
