Kootenay Lake Regional Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Casual Switchboard Operator | Registration Clerk to join their team! This position involves rotating shifts including days and evenings, with hours ranging from 06:45 to 21:00, depending on the schedule.

What Will You Work On?
In this role, you will perform a variety of duties including:
* Operating switchboard, public address, and paging systems;
* Receiving and directing patients and visitors;
* Responding to hospital alarms and emergency codes;
* Maintaining physician on-call/vacation lists and hospital staff schedules;
* Patient registration and admitting duties, including bed booking;
* Cashier duties such as handling payments, recording transactions, and issuing receipts;
* Safekeeping patient valuables.
What should your application include?
* A 5-minute typing test (45+ NWPM) from a recognized institution, completed within the past 48 months.
* Your resume outlining two years of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
* A cover letter stating your availability for start dates and on-call, casual work (specifying days of the week).
