The countywide Adult Eating Disorder team is seeking a committed Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist capable of providing complex psychological care planning, assessment, consultation, and supervision.
Our team’s 8a Clinical Psychologists play a vital role in delivering complex, integrative psychological care, supervision, service development, and training of psychology professionals.
Main duties of the job
* You will be part of a multidisciplinary Adult Eating Disorders team focused on ensuring clients receive appropriate help promptly.
* Your expertise will support the new clinical model emphasizing trauma-informed care, shared decision-making, needs-led, evidence-based interventions.
* You will assist the ED team during a period of innovation aligned with ICA areas and Cornwall’s Transformation plans.
* You will deliver complex psychological interventions for clients with Anorexia Nervosa and provide consultation to other care professionals.
* You will offer clinical supervision and contribute to the development of learners in practice.

Person Specification
Education
Essential
* Post-graduate training (doctoral level or equivalent) in clinical, counselling, or forensic psychology, accredited by BPS.
* HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist.
* Evidence of ongoing professional development as per BPS and HCPC standards.
Desirable
* ACAT accreditation as a CAT/CBT therapist or supervisor.
* Training in relevant psychometrics (e.g., WAIS, ADOS, PDS, PAI).
Experience
Essential
* Significant clinical experience post-qualification, working with diverse client groups including trauma and personality disorders; experience supervising staff.
* Expertise in complex assessment, formulation, and presenting findings effectively.
* Experience applying research methods in mental health settings.
Desirable
* Experience in service development, pathway design, and clinical leadership.
* Applied experience in psychological therapies for eating disorders and trauma, including CAT and CBT.
Additional requirements include DBS clearance and UK registration.
