Overview
We are looking to appoint one Admin Assistant to provide temporary business support to various teams within the environment department. Working hours: Monday to Friday, starting between 8am and 9am, 37 hours per week. Location: at least 2 days a week in our office in Trostre, Llanelli.
Main Purpose
To provide an efficient and effective range of business support functions to ensure that the Department's aims and objectives are fully met and adhered to in accordance with the Authority's financial regulations and policies.
Responsibilities
* Provide financial and administrative support to contribute to the effectiveness of the Department.
* Process creditor and debtor payments for the Business Support unit to ensure the department complies with financial regulations and performance targets.
* Ensure the timely input of staff personnel records, including staff absences and payroll data.
* Maintain all appropriate financial and administrative records to meet Audit requirements.
* Prepare and create periodic management information reports as required by the line manager.
* Accurately update computer systems and records to ensure management information is current and produced on time.
* Review, analyse and process all jobs and costing information to ensure management information is accurate and up to date.
Qualifications/Requirements
* Experience in administrative support and basic financial procedures.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
* Proficient in office software and data management; ability to produce timely management information.
* Ability to work across teams and adapt to changing priorities within a local government environment.
