Job Description
You know technical procurement. You know how to dig into material specifications, build strong supplier relationships, and solve problems properly. And now you’re looking for a role where you can get into the detail without being buried in admin, where you have autonomy, and where the impact of your work is actually visible.
If that sounds like you, this Technical Buyer role could be the perfect next step in your career.
Who it's for and what's in it for you
You’ll be joining a growing sustainable energy storage company that’s helping businesses reach their Net Zero goals. The role exists because the company is expanding, so you’ll have the space to influence future supply chain strategy, work closely with teams across the business, and keep progressing your career.
The benefits are there to support you along the way, from private medical cover to a genuinely collaborative and encouraging environment. Most importantly, the work you do contributes directly to a mission that matters, giving you the mix of purpose, progression, and technical challenge you’ve been looking for.
What will your day to day look like?
You will be responsible for securing the supply chain for both raw materials and specialised equipment for our client. An average day may look like:
* Building and managing relationships with suppliers
* Purchasing raw materials in line with technical specifications
* Sourcing specialist equipment to support scale-up
* Negotiating terms and ensuring cost effective procurement
* Handling logistics and shipping arrangements
* Maintaining accurate procurement records and assist in developing procedures
With business expansion on the horizon, now is the best time to get involved and be a part of the future success.
This role will suit you if you…
* Have a degree or HNC/HND in Supply Chain Management, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
* Understand chemical material specifications and regulatory handling requirements
* Have 3+ years' experience in technical or industrial procurement
