Are you passionate about teaching Spanish and inspiring students to embrace language and culture? Look no further! We are currently seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Teacher of Spanish to join our school.
You will plan and deliver engaging Spanish lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities; creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel encouraged and confident to participate and excel. We are seeking applicants who can utilize innovative teaching methods and technology to enhance instruction and engagement, fostering language proficiency and cultural understanding.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To effectively teach National and School Curricula within the school’s Teaching and Learning Policy;
2. To engage teaching methods which bring life to the motto ‘Inspiring Learning’;
3. To provide a calm, friendly, and disciplined teaching environment with positive relationships;
4. To provide a stimulating learning environment of high expectation and constant challenge;
5. To plan interesting and creative lessons and activities to meet the individual needs of all students;
6. To consistently integrate AFL strategies across all platforms;
7. To set appropriate homework in line with school policy;
8. To make effective and efficient use of Teaching Assistants and class resources to drive the individual learning experience;
9. To know and support the personal development of each student with a firm understanding of complex learning needs and the importance of raising achievement among pupils;
10. To make effective and efficient use of data systems and SIMS to record pupil progress, behaviour and attainment;
11. To mark work, assess, record, track and report pupil progress, using available data;
12. To consistently and effectively monitor the progress of students and give clear and constructive written and oral feedback working in partnership with parents;
13. To set high expectations for students’ behaviour, establishing and maintaining a good standard of discipline through well-focused teaching and positive, productive relationships;
14. To prioritise student wellbeing working collaboratively with all stakeholders;
