Assistant Planner / Planner Reading Full-Time | Permanent A respected and design-led planning consultancy based in Reading is looking to appoint an Assistant Planner or Planner to join its growing team. The practice advises on a broad range of residential, mixed-use and commercial developments, working closely with landowners, developers and private clients to unlock development potential through clear, strategic and commercially sound planning advice. The team prides itself on being proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused, offering tailored advice rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. The Role You will be involved in: Preparing and managing planning applications and appeals Undertaking site appraisals and planning policy research Drafting planning statements and supporting documents Assisting with development strategy advice Liaising directly with clients, local authorities and external consultants Supporting senior colleagues on larger and more complex schemes At Planner level, you will take ownership of smaller projects and manage applications with increasing autonomy.
