This is a key role supporting the Hard FM Operations Manager and Service Delivery team, ensuring the effective management of technical stores, stock control, and material availability to support engineering operations. What you’ll do: Technical Store & Stock Management Manage and supervise the Technical Store, supporting Hard FM operations. Issue stock and materials to engineers in a timely and controlled manner. Monitor, control, and replenish stock levels, including van stock, using the CAFM system. Carry out daily, monthly, and ad-hoc stock audits and corrections. Ensure critical stock levels are maintained and shelf-life items are in date. Manage COSHH-controlled items in line with regulations. Maintain excellent housekeeping standards within the stores area. Warehouse & Procurement Activities Accept, check, and receive deliveries; return incorrect or damaged goods when required. Raise and manage purchase orders and ensure accurate goods receipting. Obtain and hasten supplier quotes for stock and non-stock items. Liaise with suppliers to chase overdue deliveries and purchase orders. Consolidate invoices against goods received and liaise with Finance to ensure accurate stock movements. Operational Support Work closely with the Service Delivery team to ensure work orders are completed within agreed timescales. Escalate material delays promptly to mitigate operational or financial risk. Support engineers by ensuring received orders are collected and available when required. Respond to daily ad-hoc requests from internal departments. Health, Safety & Compliance Carry out daily fire checks, spillage kit and first aid kit inspections. Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety and Welfare standards. Report near misses, unsafe behaviours and incidents in support of a Zero Harm culture. Support internal and external audits and ensure quality standards are met. Manage waste disposal, including WEEE, lamps, and general waste streams. Leadership & Collaboration Act as the lead member of the stores team and the main point of contact for internal and external queries. Train and support new team members. Attend team briefs, meetings, and supplier review sessions as required. Demonstrate sound decision-making using initiative and technical knowledge. What you bring: Previous experience working in a stores or warehouse environment. Experience processing orders in a fast-paced operational setting. Strong IT skills, with experience using QFM or similar CAFM/inventory systems. Excellent organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities. Working knowledge of Health, Safety and Welfare in the workplace. Flexible approach to working hours, including occasional out-of-hours cover. Desirable Experience working within a Facilities Management or defence environment. Forklift licence. Full UK driving licence held for a minimum of 2 years. Over 25 years of age (to meet company vehicle insurance requirements).
