Location: Shire Hall, Block 5, 2nd Floor

About the Role

This role is part of the Adult Social Care Commissioning team and involves sourcing and managing packages of care for older adults and adults with disabilities or ongoing health needs. Key duties include working directly with ASC providers, ensuring smooth payment processes, contract compliance, and business continuity after brokerage.


Key Responsibilities

* Provide administrative support to the team and wider service area, using appropriate computer systems to maintain effective service operation.
* Handle basic financial matters such as electronic procurement packages, invoicing, and accurate record‑keeping of purchases.
* Facilitate meetings, seminars, forums and workshops – booking rooms, sending invites, preparing agendas and providing in‑person support.
* Accurately input and monitor records and data in relevant electronic systems.
* Respond to customer enquiries and data requests in line with corporate standards and agreed guidelines.
* Maintain electronic filing and recording systems, including statistics and monitoring.
* Provide high‑standard customer care via telephone, email and in‑person.


About You

* Experience working in a team and demonstrating a customer‑focused attitude.
* Confidence in using the telephone for work purposes and accurately inputting data.
* Experience interpreting customer views, working with management information and producing data in various formats.
* For higher grades, project management or finance experience and the ability to analyse data.
* Commitment to the council’s core values and the ability to uphold safeguarding and welfare standards.

Additional Information

The council is not currently able to offer sponsorship for this role. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK for a minimum of 6 months.
