Role: Community Keyworker

Rate: £18 Umbrella

Hours: 35 hours per week – Hybrid, 1 day home working
About the Role
Our client, a specialist charity, is seeking a Community Keyworker to join their team. The role involves working with women involved in the Criminal Justice System, those on Probation in the Community, and women being released from Prison as part of their Post Sentence Supervision.
Key Responsibilities
1. Providing in-reach and ‘Through the Gate’ support.
2. Collaborating with a team of Community Keyworkers in the region.
3. Offering holistic one-to-one community support to women with various needs and in contact with the Criminal Justice System.
4. Providing dedicated support, safer women’s centre spaces, and specialist interventions and partnerships.
5. Managing a caseload of women, some under the supervision of the National Probation Service or in custody, to enhance holistic support and advocacy services.
6. Building relationships with statutory and non-statutory agencies to establish referral pathways and a whole system approach.
7. Meeting women in the community within designated boroughs and co-locating with other agencies, including the National Probation Service.
8. Attending North London's Women’s Centre/office space regularly.
Essential Requirements
* Good knowledge of the criminal justice system and awareness of support provisions.
* Experience working with vulnerable groups.
* Experience managing a caseload.
* Ability to recognise and respond to safeguarding concerns.
* Experience working within a multi-agency and legislative framework.
* Enhanced Adult and Child DBS check on the update service or dated within the last 12 months.
