Overview
A leading international law firm is seeking an experienced Associate to join its Asset Management & Private Funds group. The team advises asset managers and investment funds on the structuring, establishment, and operation of a wide variety of private fund vehicles, both closed-ended and open-ended, across a broad range of alternative investment strategies. The work also covers associated regulatory and compliance matters impacting both funds and their managers.
In addition, the practice has a strong investor-side capability, advising institutional investors — including sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, and other large-scale investors — on commitments to funds, bespoke co-investment structures, and related legal and regulatory considerations. The group operates on a cross-border basis, working closely with colleagues and clients in multiple jurisdictions on international asset management matters.
Key Responsibilities
1. Draft, review, and negotiate fund documentation such as private placement memoranda, limited partnership agreements, and constitutional documents
2. Prepare and advise on investment management agreements, depositary agreements, brokerage/clearing agreements, and similar contracts
