Dog People is expanding, and we're looking for a reliable, passionate Dog Walker to join our growing team in Salisbury.
This role is about far more than just walking dogs. It's about building trust, understanding behaviour, keeping dogs safe in group settings, and making sure every single one goes home happy, enriched, and settled.
If you love being outdoors, don't mind muddy boots, and want to learn more about dog behaviour and welfare, we'd love to hear from you.
Our busiest days are Monday to Thursday, with flexible hours available up to 25 hours per week.
About Dog People
Dog People was founded by Ella in October 2024 and has quickly grown into a trusted, fully insured and licensed home boarding and daycare business in Salisbury.
We're not just about "watching dogs." We focus on supporting behaviour, building confidence, and creating a structured, fun and enriching environment where dogs can thrive. Welfare, safety, enrichment and positive learning experiences sit at the heart of everything we do.
As we continue to grow, we're looking for the right person to grow with us.
Duties
You will work directly alongside Ella to support day-to-day operations, including:
* Supporting group walks in our private enclosed field and local walking areas
* Providing enrichment and training-based activities both at home and out on walks
* Safely managing small groups of dogs with calm, confident handling
* Driving the Dog People van for pickups and drop-offs (full UK manual licence required)
* Monitoring behaviour, wellbeing, and group dynamics
* Carrying out basic health checks and reporting any concerns
* Cleaning and maintaining the daycare space, equipment, and vehicles to a high standard
* Helping create structured, positive learning opportunities for the dogs
* Contributing ideas for enrichment, fun activities, and innovative ways to improve our offering
* Opportunities to support with social media content and developing the Dog People brand
We work to high safety and welfare standards, so attention to detail and pride in your work really matter.

* A calm, steady presence
* Reliability and excellent timekeeping
* A willingness to learn (we provide in-house and external training)
* Confidence handling dogs safely and responsibly
