Job overview
This is a Band 6 post; however, we would consider a Band 5-Band 6 developmental post for the right candidate.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join a specialist community perinatal mental health service. This new OT position has been created to support our expansion to two years postnatal care.
The specialist perinatal community mental health service offers advice, support, and oversight of the BSW perinatal mental health pathway from preconception to the infant’s second birthday. The service collaborates with health and social care professionals in primary care, maternity services, early years, and adult mental health teams.
The team manages a caseload of women experiencing moderate to severe perinatal difficulties, often exceeding the expertise of primary care or general mental health services. This includes women who are currently well but at high risk of relapse.
We seek an enthusiastic OT with relevant post-registration experience in adult mental health services. The ideal candidate will be confident in delivering OT assessments and interventions, including group and one-to-one sessions.
We offer regular CPD opportunities, supervision, and chances to contribute to service development.
