Job Description
Anticipated Contract End Date/Length: November 30, 2026
Work Set Up: Hybrid
Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for a Technical Project Manager to support a large-scale infrastructure migration programme within a complex enterprise environment. This role will focus on managing migration pre-requisite and enablement activities, ensuring impacted services, platforms, and infrastructure components are fully prepared and approved ahead of production migration events. The position requires strong programme coordination, stakeholder engagement, dependency management, and governance oversight across multiple infrastructure teams, IT Service Owners (ITSOs), and delivery partners.
What you will do:
* Lead and manage a dedicated migration pre-tasks and enablement workstream independent from core migration execution activities.
* Plan, coordinate, track, and report readiness activities required ahead of migration events.
* Align enablement workstreams with overall migration schedules and programme milestones.
* Act as the primary coordination point between project teams, IT Service Owners, engineering teams, and delivery partners.
* Manage stakeholder communications related to upgrade scheduling, dependencies, issue resolution, approvals, and replanning activities.
* Secure required approvals for production scheduling in alignment with governance and ITSO requirements.
* Coordinate infrastructure upgrades and prerequisite activities across virtualised and platform environments.
* Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams to ensure correct sequencing and execution of enablement activities.
* Manage planned reboots, downtime windows, and non-functional dependencies as part of migration readiness planning.
* Maintain and continuously update readiness dashboards, VM trackers, risk logs, and status reporting documentation.
* Monitor execution progress, dependencies, blockers, risks, and issues across migration readiness activities.
* Escalate risks and delivery concerns proactively to support timely decision-making and programme continuity.
* Ensure clear visibility of migration preparedness across impacted services and infrastructure environments.
* Support governance, reporting, and change management processes associated with migration and upgrade activities.
* Drive coordination and execution across multiple teams without direct management authority.
Qualifications
* Strong experience operating as a Programme Manager or Project Manager within large-scale infrastructure or platform transformation programmes.
* Proven experience managing prerequisite, enablement, or readiness workstreams supporting migrations or major upgrade initiatives.
* Strong experience working with infrastructure teams, IT Service Owners (ITSOs), and cross-functional delivery teams.
* Excellent planning, coordination, dependency management, and organisational skills.
* Strong stakeholder management and communication capabilities across complex enterprise environments.
* Ability to manage ambiguity and drive clarity across multiple workstreams and technical teams.
* Experience maintaining programme trackers, dashboards, readiness reports, and governance documentation.
* Experience coordinating infrastructure upgrade activities involving planned downtime, reboots, and operational dependencies.
* Familiarity with enterprise governance, change management, and approval processes is desirable.
* Understanding of virtualised or cloud-based infrastructure environments is advantageous.
* Highly organised and detail-oriented working style.
* Strong problem-solving, risk management, and escalation management capabilities.
* Ability to proactively drive execution and delivery across teams without direct authority.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
