Overview
This role is based at Bowersgate School.
Opening in September 2026, Bowersgate School is a purpose‑built, brand new, state‑of‑the‑art school. The school will cater for up to 72 pupils aged 6‑16 with a wide range of needs including autism and social, emotional and mental health needs. This new exciting opportunity serves Wythenshawe and the wider communities; you are at the heart of its development. Our aim is to ensure that every pupil has an outstanding educational experience with individual pupil progress and care at the heart of what is offered.
Our clinicians are a crucial part of the most joined‑up model in SEND. Across all of our specialist schools and children’s homes, we provide unrivalled levels of clinical support, both in terms of our expertise and breadth of provision. Our young people present with a complexity of need including developmental trauma, neuro‑developmental conditions and special educational needs.
As part of a multi‑disciplinary clinical team you will be supporting educational and residential colleagues to provide therapeutic living and learning environments. Based on clinical assessment and formulation, you will offer individualised interventions and engagement to our young people.
Our Psychologists work collaboratively within our schools and children’s homes, ensuring that therapeutic support permeates every aspect of the education, care and support we offer all of our children and young people. You will provide consultation, workshops, training and guidance to the educational and residential teams around our children.

Qualifications
* Qualified Clinical, Educational, Forensic or Counselling Psychologist registered with the HCPC
* Specialist with proven skills and experience to assess, formulate and support the delivery of therapeutic interventions with children and young people with complex needs
* Experience of supporting the team around a child or young person to provide clinically informed living and learning environments and experiences
* Confident, engaging and effective model, guide, leader and trainer
* Highly organised and ready to take the initiative
* Committed to ensuring the best outcomes for young people
