We are seeking a qualified dynamic Nursing Associate to join our Neighbourhood Mental Health Team, delivering care to people who access secondary mental health services in Haywards Heath and East Grinstead.
Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Mid Sussex Neighbourhood Mental Health Team. We are seeking to recruit a Registered Nursing Associate to join our Recovery & Wellbeing Team to support our Clozapine Clinics and Depots Clinics as we would like to enhance the care we provide to this patient group.
We would like to ensure every patient has an individualised care plan, receives regular support including medical reviews and physical health monitoring. You will have an opportunity to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and work closely with our nurses, psychiatrists, Community Pharmacist and Physical Health Worker. We need someone who can work independently with appropriate supervision and is interested in working in a community setting with patients with complex mental health needs.
On starting in this position if you have not completed your preceptorship, it is envisaged that you will join the Preceptorship Academy programme which includes study days, support and development opportunities. There will also be openings to develop your career which may include a pathway to become a registered nurse. This will be dependent on the trust supporting the development of this training pathway.
The ability to travel across sites and to undertake community visits will be essential to this role.
