We are partnered with a 2 form entry, mainstream school in Portsmouth who are now looking for an experienced SEND Teaching assistant for a new child joining the school. This school is a "Reading School" and strives for academic excellence, enriched with opportunities for personal development and success. They are now looking for someone who can develop a wonderful relationship with a year 5 child who has complex needs.
What we're looking for as a SEND Teaching Assistant:
A commitment to supporting a year 5 child with diverse needs
Enthusiasm, resilience, and a positive attitude
Experience working with children with special educational needs is essential
Experience working with challenging behaviour, either within education, healthcare, or other equivalent alternatives
Right To Work in the UK, and currently resides in or close to Portsmouth
Enhanced Child Workforce DBS certificate on the Update Service, or a willingness to gain one What the school offers:
