Our client, a well known West Yorkshire based Manufacturer is looking to recruit a skilled Service Technician. This is an exciting opportunity to join a reputable organisation known for delivering high-quality solutions in the design, installation, and maintenance of high voltage equipment across the UK. This role involves national travel and may occasionally require overnight stays depending on project demands. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, testing, and refurbishment of a wide range of high voltage electrical assemblies and systems. Working across various client sites, including those of nationally recognised brands, you’ll play a key part in delivering both planned and reactive engineering services. This hands-on role requires a flexible and proactive individual with a strong electrical background and a problem-solving mindset. Key Responsibilities: • Perform the fitting, wiring, and commissioning of both new and refurbished high voltage electrical assemblies. • Undertake on-site repair and maintenance work to ensure optimal performance and safety of electrical systems. • Provide support to the installation team for new equipment setups and system integration. • Conduct detailed fault-finding and diagnostic work to resolve electrical issues in line with customer specifications. • Carry out general troubleshooting on a variety of electrical systems and components. • Test and validate company products to ensure they meet technical standards and performance expectations. • Maintain accurate documentation of work carried out, including service reports and test results. • Adhere to all site health and safety policies and procedures at all times. Key Requirements: • Previous experience working with high voltage equipment is essential. • Electrically qualified (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent in Electrical Engineering). • Proven experience in installation, servicing, and refurbishment of electrical systems. • Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills. • Comfortable with UK-wide travel and occasional overnight stays as required. • Full UK driving license is essential. • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
