MECHANICAL ASSEMBLY FITTER We are recruiting for Mechanical Assembly Fitter to work for our client who are in Leeds, West Yorkshire. DUTIES: * Mechanical assembly and testing of special purpose machinery to meet customer requirements. * Ensure workplace standards are adhered to. * Adhere to company Health and safety policy and procedures. * Report any hazards that may cause harm to yourself or a colleague. * Escalate any parts, drawing, routings and machine Faults. * Participate in investigations to determine non-conformance. * Document any data relevant to associated tasks. * Ensure that Stock control procedures are always adhered to * Participate in any continuous improvement initiatives and provide constructive feedback to the improvement team. * Be flexible and move to other areas you are trained as and when the business needs dictate. ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCES & SKILLS: * Minimum of two years’ experience in the mechanical assembly and testing of OEM (original equipment manufacturer) machinery * Working with mechanical assembly drawings /diagrams * Machine assembly experience, including assembly of gears, bearings, seals, linkages etc. * Inspection and test of safety devices and guarding * Excellent attention to detail * Apprentice trained engineer (NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification minimum) THE HOURS: Working a 4 days week, 37 hours from Monday to T...
