Overview
Deputy Ward Manager position at a mental health hospital in Dorking, Surrey. Lead nursing team and provide high quality patient care in an acute mental health setting.
Responsibilities
* Assist with the clinical development of the ward by managing staff and monitoring clinical standards and practice
* Work closely with the Ward Manager to achieve ward targets and deliver high-quality patient care
* Coordinate the quality and management of nursing care, patient care and the clinical environment
* Participate fully with the multidisciplinary team and undertake direct patient care
* Manage and direct the delivery of clinical services within a ward or unit, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, current legislation and quality standards
Qualifications
* Registered Mental Health Nurse with an active NMC PIN
Experience / Skills
* Previous experience in an acute admissions environment
* 2 years post-qualifying experience
* Effective leadership skills including self-motivation and ability to lead, motivate and inspire your team
* Commitment to patient-centered care and to values-based and evidence-based practice
Employment details
The successful Deputy Ward Manager will be offered a salary of £43,014 – £46,314 per annum DOE. This is a permanent, full-time role at 37.5 hours per week.
