A leading manufacturing business based in Yorkshire is seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller to support the finance team during a period of change. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical accounting, cost control, and business partnering experience within a manufacturing or production environment. Key Responsibilities include: Lead the month-end close and produce accurate management reports for senior leadership. Manage all aspects of cost accounting, including standard costing, BOM, and variance analysis. Develop and report on key operational and financial KPIs to support site and group performance. Partner with production and supply chain teams to drive operational efficiency and cost transparency. Deliver detailed material margin and cost of sales analysis. Support annual budgets, forecasts, and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure financial controls and compliance are maintained in line with group policy. About You Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or QBE with extensive manufacturing experience. Strong understanding of costing, inventory, and variance analysis. Excellent Excel and ERP systems experience (SAP, Oracle, or similar). Strong commercial acumen with the ability to challenge and influence operational stakeholders. Comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
