Are you a qualified and passionate teacher with experience in SEN/SEND/SEMH? Are you looking for a role where you can make a real difference and enjoy a better work/life balance? Do you have experience in supporting the PSHE/SMSC needs of your pupils?

If so, we’d love to hear from you!

At Esland, we believe in changing children’s lives for the better, offering nurturing and inclusive environments where every child can thrive. Using our “Turning the Curve” model, we support our pupils to overcome barriers to learning and build towards a positive new chapter. Our model is unique because it incorporates a flexible, child led curriculum based on where that child is in their education journey.

Esland's Grantham School is a specialist setting for children and young people with social, emotional, special educational and mental health needs, supporting ages 8 to 16.

The role:

We are currently seeking an experienced and qualified teacher, with a particular focus on PSHE/SMSC development. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality support to pupils, to include (but not limited to):

* Support pupils’ academic and personal development through Individual Learning Plans (ILPs)
* Contribute to EHCP reviews and PEP meetings
* Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
* Work closely with colleagues, families, and external agencies
* Promote safeguarding and wellbeing at all times

Whilst this job description gives a reasonable overview of the post, it is not exhaustive, and the post holder will be expected to behave in a flexible manner and take on any other duties that may be reasonably delegated from time to time.

What we can offer a SEN Teacher:

* A competitive salary between £33,015 and £41,137 reviewed annually
* Enrolment into the Esland education pension scheme, which is double matched up to 20%, meaning at total pension contribution of up to 30%
* Company sick pay
* Life insurance to the value of 4 times your basic salary
* Comprehensive, paid induction training and ongoing training within the role
* Fantastic opportunities for career development, we promoted over 100 colleagues last year
* Cycle to work scheme

* Access to our Green Hybrid and EV car scheme
* A £500 bonus via our 'Refer a Friend’ scheme

* Access to big-brand deals and discounts via our employee benefits scheme E-Together
* The opportunity to make a real difference to a child's life!

Essential requirements for a SEMH Teacher:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree
* Experience of teaching across a range of subjects including PSHE/SMSC development
* A strong understanding of SEN/SEND/SEMH and demonstrable prior experience of working in this sector
* Knowledge of assessment frameworks and progress tracking
* Excellent behaviour management and inclusive teaching strategies
* Knowledge and prior experience of support post-16 pupils approaching the end of full time education
* An ability to be resilient whilst also maintaining empathy and a supportive approach
* Strong communication and team work skills

Successful employment is subject to satisfactory Full Enhanced Disclosure, right to work and reference checks in line with government regulations and Safer Recruitment Practices.
