The Opportunity
Our client is actively seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer for its operations in Denbighshire; you’ll support their expanding portfolio of water and wastewater projects across North Wales.
The successful candidate will be engaged as a Mechanical Project Engineer, with responsibilities focused on supporting project delivery teams across construction sites in North Wales. The role involves frequent site visits on an as-needed basis, providing hands-on support and resolving technical mechanical queries to ensure smooth project execution.
While the role is primarily site-based, flexibility is available to work from home where project requirements allow. The main office base will be in Denbighshire.
Your duties and responsibilities will be:
* Project Delivery: Manage mechanical aspects of water and wastewater projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.
* Design and Installation: Oversee mechanical design processes and supervise installation activities.
* Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.
* Compliance and Safety: Ensure all projects adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
You will have the following qualifications & experience:
* Qualifications: HNC, HND, or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
* Experience: Demonstrable experience in mechanical engineering, ideally within the water and wastewater industry (experience in the water sector is desirable).
* Skills: Strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and excellent communication with both technical and non-technical teams.
* Flexibility: Willingness to travel regularly across North Wales and adapt to project demands.
