Your Role as Nursery Chef
As our Nursery Chef, you will:
* Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all hygiene standards.
* Prepare and cook age-appropriate meals for children, minimizing food waste.
* Ensure all dietary requirements are met and clearly communicated to the team.
* Collaborate with nursery staff and parents to promote healthy eating habits.
* Manage food orders within budgetary constraints.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* A solid understanding of managing dietary requirements, especially food allergies (essential).
* Knowledge of COSHH regulations (essential).
* Experience working within a catering budget (essential).
* Relevant cooking experience in domestic or commercial settings (essential).
* Fluency in written and spoken English at GCSE grade C (or equivalent) (essential).
* A passion for cooking for young children (desirable).
Working Conditions
This is a full-time position with flexible shifts between 7:30 AM and 6:30 PM. Please note that this role is year-round, as our nursery operates continuously.
