This is an exciting opportunity to lead the creation of a new Digital Platform capability by transforming and modernising Barclays' digital estate, focusing on delivering a market-leading digital experience centered on customer needs.
The role involves adopting a Product Operating Model mindset, understanding customer, business, and technical challenges, and supporting the adoption of new technology across multiple lines of business. You will also work on coding in Java, collaborating with various teams to bring their needs to life through rapid prototyping and proof of concepts.
Key Requirements:
* Strong experience with Java, BDD testing, and Public Cloud (AWS).
* Expertise in Permissions and Profiles, policy as code, and security models like ReBAC, ABAC, and RBAC.
* Interest in learning authorization and authentication technologies such as Policy as Code, IAM solutions (PingGateway, PingIDM, etc.).
* Ability to challenge norms, build relationships, and communicate technical concepts effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
The role can be based in Glasgow or Knutsford.
Purpose of the role: To design user experiences that meet customer needs and drive business outcomes, creating products and journeys that address informational, functional, and emotional needs.
Responsibilities include:
* Designing and implementing user-centric digital banking products, monitoring their impact using CX metrics.
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into engaging user experiences and advocating for user-centered design principles.
* Developing prototypes and wireframes, iterating based on feedback.
* Assessing technical feasibility, legal compliance, and risks, ensuring governance and design assurance.
* Conducting user research, usability testing, and data analysis to inform design improvements.
* Keeping up with industry trends and identifying opportunities for innovation.
