1. Basic Salary Up to £44,000 + OTE £60,000
2. Independent Garage
3. Monday – Friday 08:00 – 17:30, Saturdays 1 in 2 08:30 – 17:30
4. Saturdays paid at overtime rate
Our Client, a long established independent garage group with multiple branches across the South & South East, dealing with all makes of models of vehicles are seeking a Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester for their branch in Eastleigh.
They are a well-respected automotive business, with multiple sites across the Sussex and Hampshire area, providing a whole range of automotive services.

Duties of a Technician/MOT Tester with our Client
16. Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on many types of vehicles while maintaining company and industry standards and adhering to time constraints
17. Carry out diagnosis and undertake a wide range of servicing and repair work.
18. Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team to deliver excellent customer service.
19. Ensures effective use of technical knowledge and skills enabling efficient, economic and safe servicing and repair of the vehicles.
20. Builds effective working relationships with colleagues.
21. Carry out MOT’s on a regular basis in accordance with company and brand expectations if MOT licensed.
22. Completes repair and service records/other appropriate activities the Team Leader and Manager required.
23. Actively supports company policy and best practice in the area of security, with particular emphasis on the protection of sensitive customer information.
24. Analyse work orders carefully to understand a vehicle’s condition, the accuracy of the diagnosis, and what work has been agreed.
What our Client expects of their Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester
25. Qualified to NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance or Similar – Time Served Considered
26. To provide basic tooling and equipment, or be able to purchase own basic tooling and equipment prior to employment
27. Ideally an MOT Testing Licence
28. A willingness to learn new skills
29. Organisational skills, and work well under pressure
30. Knowledge of the motor trade
31. Good team player
32. Full UK driving licence (Necessity)
