Role Summary
A leading building services contractor is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager (M&E) to oversee commercial performance across a portfolio of mechanical and electrical projects in Glasgow. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong contractual knowledge with hands‑on commercial leadership.
Key Responsibilities
* Commercial Management — Lead commercial activities across M&E projects, ensuring strong cost control, risk management, and margin protection.
* Contract Administration — Manage NEC/JCT contracts, variations, claims, and change control processes.
* Cost & Value Reporting — Produce accurate CVRs, forecasts, and financial reports for senior leadership.
* Procurement Oversight — Oversee subcontract procurement, negotiation, and supply chain management.
* Project Support — Work closely with project managers to ensure commercial compliance and timely delivery.
* Client Engagement — Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to support successful project outcomes.
Candidate Profile
* Proven experience as a Commercial Manager or Senior QS within the M&E contracting or building services sector.
* Strong working knowledge of NEC and JCT contract forms.
* Excellent commercial acumen with a track record of improving project profitability.
* Confident communicator capable of influencing internal and external stakeholders.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
