We require to recruit Learning Disability Nurse to help take forward the role of the Learning Disability Acute Liaison Service.
The successful candidate will job share to provide specialist support and intervention to Adults with a broad range of Learning Disabilities and/or Autism who display complex medical, social and psychological issues and who have been admitted into the Acute Care Services across Tayside. Preferably you will bring previous experience in such a role to this post.
Working in a collaborative and intuitive manner with a wide variety of Acute services staff, to support individuals with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism to maximise their clinical outcomes whilst in their care, you will also provide advocacy and information support when required. You will also act as the fulcrum of communication during an individual’s in-patient stay.
Your Professional and Clinical Skills Development in this role is a priority and you will be actively encouraged to benefit from a variety of learning opportunities.
* You must be registered on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the UK NMC Register

Hours of work are: 18.5 per week (can be worked between job share partner as 37 hours over 2 weeks).
